With a team of dedicated and dynamic English teachers, we aim at developing a theme-based curriculum by engaging students in meaningful and authentic learning activities through multi-modal and multi-genre texts which they are actively and naturally involved in listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Reading Workshops
We cultivate students’ passion in reading through different reading approaches. A range of reading materials is selected to develop pupils’ critical thinking skills, critical literacy as well as positive values.
Using e-Learning Tools to Foster Self-directed Learning
With the advancement in technology, students are allowed to have ownership over their learning process and conveniently share knowledge and exchange ideas with peers.
Theme-based Learning Activities
Students learn best when their new knowledge is linked to their prior knowledge and experience. Different experiential learning activities are hosted to encourage students to use English in all aspects of their lives and to enhance learning motivation and creativity.

I am Miss Marie your primary Native-speaking English Teacher from the United Kingdom. I am super excited to be joining the English Department at SPPCS and looking forward to meeting everyone! I hope that we will have fun learning English together and you will enjoy school as much as I do. My name is Miss Esther and I am from Nigeria. Guess where I live? Hong Kong. I speak 6 languages fluently and I understand about 9 languages. Yes, I love learning new languages. Let’s just say it is my superpower. One of my favourite languages is English and I enjoy teaching it.
I am passionate about making English easier and fun to learn. That is why I joined the wonderful English Department as an English buddy and Teacher.
